Zip Lining !!!
When we missed our flight from Miami to San Jose, one of the first questions I had for Sandy was, "Can we PLEASE reschedule the zip line!?"
Thank goodness we were able to!!
Andrew is deathly afraid of heights and can't bare to look over a cliff, so the fact that he was excited and willing to zip line was huge!!
There were two parts to our adventure! The first was the Sky Tram- sort of like a ski lift, that brought us on top of the rain forest. I have to admit, riding up was very exciting and my right leg began to shake!!!
It took 2 years to complete and was 3100 feet high and took about 25 minutes to reach the top!
Listen to the story that the guide told us about the day prior with the husband that wouldn't open his eyes!!
Once at the top there was a BEAUTIFUL view of the other side of the Volcano. We were even able to see the lava oozing out and down it!!! We enjoyed a fruit smoothie drink at the top as well.
The zipping consisted of 8 different zips on top of the rain forest.
Lengths of Cables
1) 92 Feet - this one was like the bunny hill!
2) 105 Feet
3) 1550 feet @ 44 mph
4) 1440 feet @43 mph
5)1136 feet @ 40 mph
6) 2060 feet @ 50 mph
7) 2490 feet @ 54 mph
8) 82 feet @ 18 mph - this is the one where they take your picture and then sell it to you!
I thought we would be able to take video of ourselves, but weren't able to. The guide actually took my little point and shoot camera and took video of himself!!
Here it is!
